Gravity Drop
What happens in free fall? By using the Gravity Drop with the Timer II and Photogates, your students drop marbles, make accurate measurements, build graphs, and calculate the acceleration of gravity (g to within 2%). Exploring the concepts of free fall, acceleration, and Newton's Laws will be fun for your students. The marble's speed is measured as a function of time and distance. The spring-loaded dropper and catcher are simple to align using the supplied plumb bob. The Timer II dramatically reduces "human error" when conducting experiments, ensuring your students' success.
